1.Research on the location before shoot
Before you are going to shoot a place, look up for much information as you can for the place. That will tell you what to look out for and pitfalls that you need to avoid.
2. Using Flash for selective brightness
The flash can be used to brighten an object in the foreground.
3. Including Sky into the frame
A dramatic skyscape is an important element to any landscape shot. A polarizing filter can help you enhance the colors.
4. Keep horizons straight
Before shooting, please ensure that the horizon is perfectly straight. Most of new photographers compose the frame carelessly and correct the tilt later in Photoshop. However, this reduces the size of the image and may also lead to loss of information towards the corners.
5. Use of tripod or cable release
Put your camera on a tripod and use cable release to trigger the shutter. This will ensure that your photograph is perfectly sharp.
6. Show a sense of scale
Use people, animal or other recognisable objects that are part of the scene to show a sense of scale and convey the grandeur of the landscape.
